Back on a Limited Basis

It's been six months since I stopped posting over here, and I'll admit that I miss it a bit. I think I'm going to start posting some of my stuff here again. I won't be super active in other ways, but it's fairly easy to mirror my posts from FurAffinity and other places.

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Well, DeviantArt replacing the Watch list with a poorly functioning, glorified Twitter feed is the last straw for me. I've been using this website as my main gallery for a full decade now, but its management seem intent on running the place into the ground one feature at a time. As a result, I feel like it's no long worth my time to continue maintaining this account. I will no longer be posting any of my photomanipulations here for the foreseeable future.

I'm not going to be closing the account or anything. I'm going to leave everything up as it is, and I reserve the right to resume posting if things improve around here. But for now, anyone still interested can find any future artwork from me on FurAffinity or my Twitter account. See you later!

It's been a long month

Yeah, February kinda sucked.

-I got into a car accident on the first, and had to borrow one of my parents' cars for the entire month while it was getting repaired ($4500. Fun.)

-I passed out at the doctor's office while having bloodwork done, and still had to go in and work a nine hour shift afterwards

-Nearly got detained trying to cross the border (and probably would have been if it hadn't been 1 AM and right before the guy was due to be done for the night)

-I had a grand total of three days off the whole month

I've been trying to work on all of the commissions I took, but things seem to keep getting in the way. I'm still waiting on the photos for a couple of them, and I'm going to keep plugging away on the other ones that are outstanding (and one big, complicated one in particular). The next 4-5 weeks are looking better, as I'll be guaranteed at least one day off a week through mid-April.

Commissions!

Well, I think I'm finally ready to open commissions again! I'll be opening up on Saturday, February 1st. I'm only going to take a couple to start, to see how quickly I can get them done with my current schedule. But I'm going to try hard to not be closed for six months again like last time.

Well, looks like I picked the perfect time to open up commissions, as I was just in a car accident this morning and will have quite a repair bill to pay. I'm only going to take five here to start, as I'm not sure how much time I'm going to have to work on them and don't want to bite off more than I can chew until I figure out how many I can reliably get done in a week. Next time around (which will be as soon as I get these done) I might open for more. It appears that I inadvertently picked a spectacularly bad time to open up for commissions. It ended up taking a week longer than I'd expected to get my computer back up and running, during which I didn't have access to Photoshop at all. And then right after that, a coworker went out for surgery for two weeks at work. I ended up getting scheduled to work seven days a week between my two jobs, without a day off between the 2nd and when my vacation starts on the 28th. Once you factor in my commute time (80 miles round-trip, and 100 miles on days I work both jobs) and you're looking at four straight 70-hour work weeks. Since I really don't

Computer Upgrade Delays

So my attempts to upgrade my computer have hit a snag, and I had to send back the drive I ordered and get a different one. Since I took everything off my computer in anticipation of wiping the old HDD, all my manipping will be delayed for a while until the new SSD arrives. Fortunately, once it does arrive and I get everything reinstalled, my computer should run a lot better than it does now. I should even be able to start streaming, so there's that to look forward to.
